PLEASE HELP MARCIA IN THE BATTLE FOR HER LIFE

Marcia Evans is an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt, teacher, mentor, friend, and four-time cancer survivor. She lives in Richmond, a college town nestled in Kentucky’s foothills, where she has taught at Eastern Kentucky University for years. She was recently married to her high school crush, and they share five wonderful children.
Sadly, only days after marrying her best friend and feeling unwell for a few months, she found out she would have to battle cancer again. She was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer on August 4, 2020. Bravely she has taken on this fight with the strength and courage she has shown so many times in her past. However, she can’t do it alone this time. She needs our help and support in the fight for her life.
This time is different from her past battles. On Thursday, October 15th, she went in to have her stomach removed in an effort to beat cancer for the 5th time. What the doctors found was devastating. She was told the cancer has spread through all of her intestinal organs, and there is nothing they can do but keep her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. Statistically, the chances of beating cancer this time are grim.
However, in true warrior fashion, Marcia refuses to give up the fight. She remains faithful that God will see her through this as He has done in the past. It’s with her faith that she is able to gather strength and keep fighting. In the coming weeks, she will need to seek treatment options that won’t be covered by her insurance. She will undoubtedly need primary care from her husband, who will have to take time off work. The financial costs they face are staggering.
I asked to create this fund in an effort to help and support her in this battle. Finances are not something Marcia and her family should stress over when every moment is so precious. If you can make a monetary donation to assist in this battle, we will be forever grateful. Her children will grow up knowing the goodness of others, who gave their mother a chance to continue fighting to be here for them. If you cannot donate, please share her story.
