For a few years now, we have been trying to save up money to fix the very outdated and unsafe bathrooms at our nonprofit language school. The current virus situation makes it even more dangerous for our children. For example: you have to hold the water tap with one hand while washing the other hand and as soon as you let go, the water stops. Also, there is no hot water in the bathrooms. The toilets break and clog often, doors do not shut all the way and tiles are falling off of the walls.
With many student-run projects and fundraisers we were able to raise some money for upgrades and repairs. The children worked hard with great enthusiasm, but as we later discovered, the project was just too expensive.
We brought a contractor in, and it turned out that the pipes are in such bad shape that in the near future we will experience leaks and even flooding of the school building if we do not act fast.
Our school’s financial needs became simply too high and too hard to achieve through our children’s fundraising.
So here we are, turning to you and kindly asking you to please help us make our school’s bathrooms usable and safe.
We cannot wait to see those excited happy little smiles on our kids’ faces, when they learn they will finally have a beautiful bathroom in their school.
We are extremely grateful for even a very small donation
