<div><strong>Hi! We are reaching out on behalf of our friend Liam Wright, a young father of two and loving husband who approaching his 40th birthday, is facing his most challenging journey yet. He is about to undergo his second bone marrow transplant for Leukaemia. </strong>

<div>Liam was first diagnosed with a rare cancer of the bone and soft tissue (Ewings Sarcoma) in 2020, just two weeks after the birth of his first son. He underwent a hip replacement and extensive chemotherapy. Unfortunately while in remission for Ewings, in 2022 he was devastatingly diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. In 2023 he spent several months in Westmead undergoing more chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Bone marrow transplants are a serious, potentially life-threatening procedure due to infections risks, organ damage and the possibility of graft versus host disease. He won this battle and had been in remission until August this year.

<div>With his AML returning, just a month before his 40th birthday, Liam now faces one of his biggest challenges yet, a second bone marrow transplant in October. This will be another 4-5 months in Westmead away from his wife and two children.
