Our families are reaching out to the community on behalf of our wonderful housekeeper Lucila.
Tragedy struck Lucila and her family when her 14-year son was struck by a car on September 7th. Since Lucila will be caring for her son at the hospital and during his extended recovery at home, she will be unable to work for some time.
Josue was hit by a car last Friday and airlifted to San Diego Children’s Hospital where he is in critical condition and has suffered 3rd degree burns. As you can imagine, the whole family has many, many more tough weeks ahead.
It’s our hope to raise enough money so that Lucila can spend time with Josue. We are also hoping that some of the funds will help to cover any additional expenses she and her family might incur during Josue's recovery. Lucila and her husband have already missed work this week and will probably miss many more days ahead.
