Last summer my brother started not feeling well many days on the jobsite was to much for him,  having dizzy spells and nearly passing out. This seems to be where his journey started.  He went to the Drs with no real conclusive results. Over the next several months i watched him start changing in appearance and in his physical activity. Not feeling well not wanting to do a lot of normal things that he normally did and loved. Weight lose seemed significant and he just felt poorly. After several months of feeling poorly, he had a large knot appear on his leg he went to ER. The  outcome was they  lanced the spot that was there and started him on antibotics, no major diagnose. Over more time he bagan to have a lot of weakness and pain that was not ordinary. About a month ago he called me and discribed in his words "my eye looks as if someone hit me, vessels are popped, swollen up and discoloring" a few days went by he called me at 5 am and described to me what sounded like someone in so much pain and almost in a paralyzing state on the floor couldnt not move. He went to ER again being told nothin was wrong, so no diagnosis. A few weeks passed his eye got better but he progressively got worse.  Feeling sicker and just not well in his opionion.  He went to ER on Tuesday blood test was done he was admitted to ICU at CMC-NORTHEAST early Wednesday morning. 5/31.  Since admission, we have been on what seems to be a constant roller coaster with things being thrown at us from every direction. He was transferred to CMC-MAIN to the Levine Cancer Center yesterday. His diagnosis came in today. He has Acute Lymphoid Leukemia with PH(-) chromosome and will not leave this facility for at least a month while undergoing treatment.  He has had several transfusions and chemo cant be started yet due to a bacterial infection in his blood. He has ran hi temps and platlets have been up and down. Never reaching nearly the level they should. His very weak and very emotional. We dont know treatment plan as of yet,  His specialist will talk to us tomorrow about what we can expect throughout this journey. Terri Caldwell Medlin his fiancée has been asked to stay with him during this 30 day stent.. This means no income for the household to survive with medical bills piling up on top of already exsisting medical bills from previous months In order to control the downfall of bills not getting paid we, Joes siblings and family members have decided to be pro active in efforts to releive that additional strain in an already difficult time so we ask please whatever you can give even if it's only a dollar or $5 all is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your prayers, love and support!!
