Help Jeremy and Jill Through a Medical Emergency
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart—not for myself, but for two incredible people I’m honored to call friends: Jeremy and Jill. After 14 years of love and devotion, they married last year, dreaming of a bright future. But instead of a honeymoon phase, they’ve faced a nightmare no one should endure. Today, I’m asking you to join me in lifting them up during their darkest time.
Jill has been battling severe Endometriosis, a debilitating condition affecting 10% of women worldwide. Her case is advanced and unrelenting, causing daily pain so intense it robs her of breath, energy, and joy. Painkillers and medication offer only fleeting relief, kicking in by 1:00 p.m. after mornings of agony. On top of this, doctors discovered a microlesion on her pituitary gland, triggering extreme mood swings and hormonal imbalances. For over a year, Jill has fought this battle quietly and courageously, enduring countless doctor visits, sonograms, treatments, and tests in search of answers. Pouring all of thier savings into medical bills and opening a new business in Thailand that they soon found they were not able to run due to her inability to be left alone or function.
Her condition has deteriorated to an EMERGENCY level. She urgently needs a laproscopy and most likely a full hysterectomy at age 34 and specialized care from an endocrinologist. Flying is not an option—her health is too fragile and symtoms would worsen—so the surgery must happen here in Thailand, where costs are far less than the U.S. but still a large sum to handle all at once, and time is running out as her condition worsens. Credit card interest is already weighing them down after all the previous medical bills.
Jeremy has been her unwavering rock, standing by her through every scream, tear and setback. But with Jill unable to work for the past 18 months, their dreams have been put on hold. Despite this, their love shines as an inspiration to everyone who knows them.
Jill’s heart is as big as her spirit is strong. Her desire is to advocate for underprivileged women in Thailand, ensuring they have access to gynecological care—a neglected need in our community. Once she recovers, she’s determined to give back. Jeremy and Jill are the kind of people who’ve always lent a hand to local Thai businesses and friends in need. Now, it’s our turn to help them.
