***OFFICIAL CAMPAIGN FOR WELFRED H.***
Donation protected
On September 18, 2019, a senseless road rage incident resulted in a young man being struck by a vehicle. As Welfred H. walked his younger sister to the bus stop, one of the vehicles involved in road rage left the road, traveled onto the sidewalk and struck Welfred. Welfred, a thirteen year old, was not expected to make it but by the Grace of God, he’s alive.
To date, he has had countless surgeries and some of his major injuries include: a brain injury, broken back, broken ribs, a broken wrist, broken knee (caps), broken pelvis, and several broken bones in his neck. He now has a permanent rod in his neck and will essentially have to learn how to perform many daily functions again.
Welfred comes from a very loving family, where his father is the primary provider. Sadly, he has not been able to return to work and is focused on staying with Welfred at the hospital.
To date, Welfred’s prognosis is uncertain. The family has been told that a discharge date is not in the immediate future and his road to recovery is anywhere from eight months to over a year.
This is a very humble, respectful, and appreciative family. As we all know, a hospital stay (and care) of this magnitude will come at a very high price. We are PLEADING with the community to make a donation to this wonderful young man’s medical expenses. No amount is too small and ALL donations are appreciated more than you will ever know!
Thank you, in advance, for your Blessings to this family!
