Please help get my truck running again

Hello.... my name is Herb, I am a medically separated military veteran and I am looking for help to fix my 2003 Chevy S10. Right now it is the only form of transportation I have to get me to the veteran’s hospital. The engine blew on me and my family one day in August and being on a fixed income I am not able to afford the cost of a used engine and the labor. Anything you can help with will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless
