Hello, my name is Walter Schurtenberger and I founded Hydrokinetic Energy Corp. in 2014 to develop a new type of underwater turbine for electrical generation from a renewable source, namely Ocean Currents, Tidal Currents and River Currents.

I have been working, designing, building and testing prototypes since day one without ever taking a salary because I believe that it is absolutely necessary to change the way we produce electricity.

Our turbines are a highly sophisticated hydrodynamic design, extremely efficient, wildlife-friendly and built from 100% renewable/recyclable materials. we have so far been awarded 3 utility patents for the turbine design and our unique Wildlife and Debis Excluder. We anticipate to be commercially ready by the end of 2026.
