 Ella is only 22, but spends her life fighting for medical care while living with severe gastroparesis and colonic inertia, as a result of Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She is housebound, often bedbound, requiring a wheelchair, fainting daily, and rapidly losing weight.

 Her condition is significant, and she sadly has vomiting attacks on a daily basis. She struggles to keep down food and water, making her dangerously dehydrated and lacking in essential components her body needs to survive.

 Her potassium is consistently dropping, requiring hospital treatment with sometimes up to 3 days worth of intravenous replacement, of which she usually has to spend on a chair in A&amp;E. Potassium is essential for the heart. And because Ella loses so much when she is vomiting, she has ended up with life-threatening arrythmias and cardiac rhythm disturbances. As many people are aware, Ella lost her dad when he was just 48 years old to a cardiac arrest. With this sad fact and Ella's current health, it puts her at a serious risk of cardiac arrest also.

 She has been admitted to hospital hundreds of times. Yet she continues to be left without the necessary care she needs to control this devastating disease.

 Today we were told something horrifying: 'Unless her kidneys are failing, they will not intervene.'
</div>

 Her kidneys are thankfully not currently failing. However, she has suffered sepsis and AKI multiple times as a result of kidney problems. But why should she have to reach organ failure before someone is willing to act?
</div>

 She has tried everything she can do to work within the NHS. She has repeatedly begged for help, attended appointments and sought emergency help when her blood levels have become dangerous. She has even had to involve her MP.
</div>

 She is running out of options, and I'm terrified she is running out of time too.

 We are therefore raising money for urgent private specialist treatment, to get her the crucial medical and nutritional support she deserves.

 Ella would never ask anyone for money, but I know this is serious, and her life is just too valuable to lose. She is exhausted, and can't keep being left to deteriorate.
