Please help Deb repair plumbing disaster

I initially posted this fundraiser near the end of last year, but took it down to address some other serious issues.

Thanks to donations from friends, colleagues and strangers, as well as the sale of some of my possessions, I was able to address one of the two things I initially had to deal with -- the replacement of a garage door that a burglar destroyed while breaking into the garage.

Unfortunately, I still have to address the more significant problem -- the fact that the out-flowing water pipe running under the house gave way, which has caused the water department to shut off service to the house. The pipe needs to be replaced as soon as possible because the house cannot go without water for safety reasons and because the city requires water service to be operational to maintain a certificate of occupancy

Much to my dismay, this isn’t covered by insurance and the cost has turned out to be significantly higher than the city initially let on -- $1500 to the water department and another $1500 to the sewer department. These are bills I have to pay in the next few weeks because the city demands that I do so to maintain the habitability of the home.

I realize this is a difficult time for many people in many ways, but if you can help, I would appreciate it more than you can imagine. I'd also be grateful if you could share this link to get the word out. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for all the support you've offered.
