Help David to Beat Esophageal Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Francis (many of you know me as Frank), and I’m reaching out with my sister June and brother Robert, on behalf of our brother, David Da Silva, who is currently facing an incredibly tough battle. David has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Along with this painful journey, he is experiencing an income shortfall as he is on leave from his job. This has created an overwhelming burden on him and his family—both emotionally and financially.
Esophageal cancer is an aggressive illness, and the treatment process has been grueling. David has been receiving weekly chemotherapy and radiation treatments, but the road to recovery is long and uncertain. At the conclusion of his radiation and chemotherapy, he will undergo reconstructive throat surgery in Calgary. This requires David and his wife Carolyn to temporarily relocate to Calgary for a week or more, with Carolyn needing to take leave from her own job to care for him. Unfortunately, the loss of income during this time is adding to the stress and hardship they are already facing.
We’re starting this GoFundMe campaign to help provide an income bridge while David navigates these challenges. The funds raised will help cover essential living expenses, travel costs, renting accommodations in Calgary, and other unforeseen expenses that could arise during his recovery. The last thing we want David and Carolyn to worry about is how to make ends meet during this critical time.
We’re asking for your generosity—whether through a donation, sharing this campaign with others, or simply sending positive thoughts our way. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in helping David through this difficult journey.
Thank you for your support, love, and kindness. We truly appreciate everything.
With gratitude,
Francis, Robert, June, David, and our families
