In life if you are lucky enough to come across beautiful friends you are truly blessed and for David & myself Suzie Dewar & Brendan Baker we have been lucky enough to have in our lives one of the most beautiful Family's you could ever ask to have as your friends.
3 days ago our BEAUTIFUL friend's Chloe Doherty and Curtis Doherty & their family's world was turned upside down with their little boy Charlie who is 5years old and in prep this year being Diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Chloe his amazing Mum is now going to obviously need to be living at the Royal Children's for we are unsure for how long, while Charlie has treatment and so she is not going to be able to work to support her family who also includes Charlie's Big brother Cooper who is only 8 years old and also (AMAZING) , for we don't know how long.
Anyone who knows Chloe & Curt is aware that they would do ANYTHING for ANYONE and give you the shirt off their back.... Then and there family now need us in any small way we possibly can help to get her through the next few months with bill's and anything else she may need to support her children.
The following is a statement from Chloe:
To say our world has been turned upside down in the last two days is and understatement.
Our Beautiful 5year old son Charlie and Grandson Charlie has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a solid type of cancer that affects the lymph nodes.
It's quite rare, Charlie is the first person in Victoria to be diagnosed with it this year.
We don't know much yet other than he will need treatment which will most likely be in the form of Chemo and Radiotherapy.
The doctor's have told us that their treatment program's for this cancer has a good success rate.
We will know more in the coming days we are exhausted but so so proud of our boy who is being so incredibly brave. I would trade places with him in a heartbeat.
We will be in Melbourne for the next little while to be by our baby boys side.
We appreciate all of your love and support so much more than we can explain
