Please help Cathy & her best friend Brutus!

Hi everyone,
We have decided to make this Go-Fund-Me for a fellow co worker, who is going through a pretty rough time right now. Miss Cathy Cochran, a very well known happy face of Marietta Memorial Hospital, has a beagle that needs our help. Her dog Brutus is only 4 years old. He was diagnosed with IVDD (intervertebral disc disease), and his back legs are currently paralyzed, leaving him unable to walk. This is the second time Brutus has been hospitalized with this problem, but this time has been without recovery. The vet has tried multiple different things from steroid injections to physical therapy, but Brutus is still unable to use his back legs and sometimes has incontinence as well. Cathy brought him home this week and is facing a whole new world of challenges. She is having to carry him a lot as well as occasionally catheterizing him to empty his bladder. Cathy has had to put down two other four legged best friends in the past year... and she just isn’t ready to do it a 3rd time. Brutus is all she has left in her home. And we aren’t ready to give up on him! The most ideal option for Brutus would be surgery, but this procedure can cost up to $4,000 in some cases. We understand that we may not come up with that... but we want to help Cathy in any way possible. The bills already for Brutus’ current treatment have been piling up. For him to have the best quality of life, he is probably going to need certain types of expensive equipment and things for Cathy to use at home to properly take care of him, without hurting herself. We are hoping to get him a doggie wheelchair which will help tremendously! For those of you that don’t know Cathy, she is the most incredible woman. She is so loved by all for her generosity, thoughtfulness, sense of humor, and kindness. Cathy has brought more smiles to each and every one of us that we ever thought possible! We thought we would come together and try out this fundraiser... and even if we don’t reach our goal, we know the tiniest bit will at least relieve some of her stress at this time. Cathy deserves the world and more, but most importantly - we don’t want her to lose Brutus! If you are able to help in any way, we would greatly appreciate you, and it will not go unnoticed!
