<div>Asking for money is one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life as I have been raised to always fend for myself. Looking back I always did, working my hardest, working relentlessly, despite coming from an unprivileged background. Now it’s the first time where I’m depending on the financial help of others, so I can finally start helping and become a covid cautious counsellor. Thank you and below you find my story ❤️‍

<div>As some of you know I‘m a dedicated masked cc activist, host of the virtual club “Zoomhain” and a passionate psychologist. I've been working over the last months to set up a virtual psychological counselling service with a focus on living with Covid/Long Covid and also other chronic illnesses.

<div>I applied for governmental business funding and it was denied. I strongly suspect because it was a “Covid Business Idea”.
</div>

<div>I relied heavily on this funding because I am in training to become a psychodynamic psychotherapist and this training is very expensive, so I was forced to spend all my savings to manage the last months while waiting for my funding approval.
</div>
<div>It is so hard to ask for help but I’m honestly out of options right now. My husband supports me the best he can but we both reached our financial limits.

<div>That means I am in danger to lose my training - something I’m doing for 4 years now and studied 8 years to achieve - and also let go of my cc counselling. Furthermore, finding a new job while masking is nearly impossible.

<div>My psychological counselling/coaching is neither a healing promise for LC nor brain programming. It’s pure psychological/psychodynamic to help dealing with this life and world we’re in. I’m queer friendly and acknowledge structural discrimination as well as the current multiple crises we’re facing as a society. I have a vast knowledge about LC &amp; ME/CFS but am not giving medical advice because I‘m a psychologist and not a MD. Due to this background and my own moral integrity, I’m strongly against psychologising chronic conditions as well as the current use of psychosomatic. I do fight medical gaslighting whenever I encounter it.

<div>On the one hand, the governmental funding of 8k Euros would have ensured paying for my psychotherapy training (1k per month), health and other insurances and my basic needs (1.5k per month). On the other hand, I need to invest in my counselling (website, insurances, logo, business account, safe video-call provider, legal advice esp. for non-European clients etc.), which I just can’t do right now. I calculated with the money for the first three months which is a realistic time to be ready to work with my first clients.
