Rescue Mission: Help Bring Charlie the Puppy to UK
Donation protected
Hi, we are Greg and Ewa.
We were away on a much needed holiday to Siargao Island in the Philippines. Whilst there we saw a stray, little puppy who looked very thin and unwell, who was on a busy road.
We were compelled to help him because he looked in such a bad way.
We took him to the vets, where we were told we needed to give him a name. The name Charlie, was first to mind.
Charlie had an infection, lots of fleas, ticks, was underweight, and anemic.
He has since had lots of medicine, antibiotics, and is currently still weak, but on the mend.
We are looking to raise money so that we can bring him to the UK, and give him a loving home.
He has to stay in the Philippines initially for a few months, whilst he has his vaccinations, and undergoes a immunisation process. Charlie will stay with a foster parent in the meantime.
The £3500 would help cover all the necessary fee's, including transport to Manila, and from there to the UK.
There is an agency (Gold Pet Transport) we would need to go through who specialise in helping with papers, timings and logistics. (£2000)
It would also cover some more Vet treatment that he needs in the Philippines, including the Rabies Titer test (approximately £500-£600)
James Cargo is another agency, who will help process the arrival papers in the UK. (Approximately £800)
We were also informed there might be some miscellaneous fees from the airlines. (>£200)
We really appreciate any donations. This was one poorly puppy, who deserves a life where he can flourish and be safe.
