<div>Dear friends, family and kind-hearted strangers, my name is Shailagh and I am raising this fund for a very special friend of mine (Amber) and her family (Kyle, Brinley, Brealyn).

<div>On October 9th, 2023, Amber and Kyle brought their youngest daughter Brealyn(1) to the hospital as she was very lethargic and had a high fever of 106. They thought that they were taking her in because she had caught some sort of virus. On October 10th after extensive tests, they got the news that no parent should ever have to hear… Brealyn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).

<div>Brealyn is so loving, spirited and very opinionated, she may only be 2 but she already has so much personality in her, and to see her so tired and weak is crushing everyone. Tomorrow she embarks on her first day of chemotherapy.

<div>While she and her family bravely tackle this new and scary journey, the last thing they should worry about is money.
</div>
<div>Because Amber ran her own daycare, she has since had to shut down as poor Brealyn will no longer have an immune system to fight off any sort of viruses, leaving their family with only one income coming in. As most of us know, in this economy we need two incomes to comfortably support a young growing family. Both Amber and Kyle are going to be facing a lot of new and unexpected expenses that come with medical treatments, such as hospital parking fees, being able to afford food during their hospital visits, medications that aren’t covered by insurance, gas to travel back and forth, etc. Only having one income is going to be extremely stressful when you are used to bringing in two, especially while trying to take care of Brealyn, and still be the loving parents they need to be for their oldest daughter Brinley (3), as her sister fights for her life. I am hoping that this fundraiser will help alleviate some of the financial burdens that this sudden diagnosis brings.

Brealyn’s journey is just beginning and it is going to be long and hard and they need your love, prayers, compassion and generosity more than ever.
