We have started this gofundme page due to our beloved cat Bella having an uncontrollable skin condition. This is a last resort and plea for help.
Bella was originally a stray cat, she came to us looking for somewhere safe to have her kittens. She knew that we would love her and care for her.
A few years after, one day we were brushing her and found what appeared to be a large hole on her back leg which has since gotten larger. We have taken her to lots of different vets over the years and tried every possible treatment to fix it, including changing her diet, different medications, antibiotics, steroids etc and nothing is fixing the issue.
Bella used to love going outside and watching the birds. She used to be playful and happy but since this skin problem, she has had to remain indoors with her cone on so she cannot get to the wound. She has been living this way for many years.
These years have been incredibly difficult for us and her, we have spent so much money already on vet bills but she has not improved. Her wound never heals and is constantly getting infected!
We want her back to living a normal life and for her to be happy again after all these years.
We’ve finally found a vet who specialises in dermatology, and we desperately need to take her, although the consultation, skin and blood work alone are much more expensive than we can afford right now. They don’t have any payment plans available and we don’t have that kind of money for it!
We want nothing more than to have our playful girl living her life pain free. This treatment could be what we’ve needed.
UPDATE :
On the 13th of march Bella had her appointment with the dermatologist at Davies veterinary specialists. The vet we seen believes Bella has a very deep infection, he believes the best treatment would be surgery to completely remove said infection and damaged skin. The cost of this surgery is estimated to be between £3000 and £3500. Bella could live a normal life again if we manage to make this surgery happen.
Please look to your hearts and donate anything you can, and if you cant then please share this page to support our lovely girl.
