Please help Bear

For myself and my Husband, Bear was a long time coming. after thoroughly researching the breed and the best breeders in NSW, we settled on a breeder and waited for 3 years.
In what could only be considered serendipitious, our fur baby was ready to be picked up a week after we got married.
Little did we know that our poor little baby was about to go through months of tummy pain.
We picked up Bear in October and since then we have been at the vet with him almost weekly with ongoing tummy problems.
Unofortunately, after months of trying different treatments, Bear's condition deteriorated on Christmas day: up until this point he was still a happy go lucky little pup, but now he was trying to tell us that he was in pain and something needed to be done.
On Boxing day we rushed him to the emergency vet where he stayed overnight.
We have now seen a specialist who thinks Bear's problem is a very rare disease called Histiocytic Ulcerative Colitis (basically she thinks he has ulcers lining his large intestine) the only way for us to test for this is to put him under anaesthetic, do a colonoscopy and take some biopsies. However, in Australia, we can't test for HUC, which means his biopsies need to be sent overseas for testing.
My Husband and i aren't the richest people in the world, but Bear is our 'Fur baby' and we will do whatever is necessary to help him to feel better again.
We are looking at upwards of $5,000 in vet bills just to find out whether he has the disease, and even if the test comes back positive, there is little known about how to fix it.
Bear's tests are being done over the coming days, but the vet won't let us take him home until the entire bill is paid, which means we urgently need your help so that we can bring Bear home!
It's going to be a long road for our little family, but it would mean the world to us if you could find it in your hearts to support us and help us make Bear feel better again.
