Please help Beamer and Lacey

Sunday 21st January 2018, a day I don’t think I will ever forget and to this day the worst day of my life. At 11.30am I threw the ball to my dogs, gave them fresh water and put them safely in their dog pen. At 12.15pm my 3 year old daughter went outside to show her best friends the drawings she had done and to sneak them some of her lunch. At 12.55pm my gentle 11 year old black lab Beamer and my 4 year old boxer x Lacey were fighting for their lives at the After Hours Vet Emergency Clinic in North Hobart. A 25 minute drive from our property in Margate. That is how quickly this nightmare unfolded. From a scream of “mummy Lacey’s got something”, to the horror of discovering that something was a 1.5 metre long tiger snake, to having my elderly dog collapse and lose all bodily functions followed by my boxer convulsing and foaming at the mouth to paying a $2000 deposit before they could commence treatment and being given an estimate of $8000 that MUST BE PAID IN FULL before my dogs could be transferred to my normal vet. Well 4 days later and my fur babies are still in hospital but they are ALIVE and they continue to fight. The $8000 estimate is out the window, and the cost continues to rise.
This page was set up by my cousin, a fellow animal lover and mum to a fur child who also means the world to her.  I didn’t know what to expect when this page was started, I knew I needed some help, but I didn’t want to ask for handouts and I didn’t care if that help was just $20 it was something. 
I’m astounded at how many people care and at close friends, friends, acquaintances and even total strangers generosity! So thank you to everyone and hopefully my babies can come home soon!
