Please help Ashley conquer cancer!

Hello all,

On August 30th our worlds were turned upside down.  My sister Ashley Herriage was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma). She is an amazing single mother to her son Ry.  We will be forever grateful for  your prayers and know that any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Ashley is so creative and helpful. She can pretty much do anything that you need. If she doesn't know how, she will research it until she does. Typically Ashley is high energy so it has been so hard and frustrating to watch her be so sick this past year and not understand why.  Even being exhausted she has been there for all things asked of her.  She is incredible and this world needs her in it!

Hearing that my sister had cancer was hard but it was even harder as I started to call each of our extended family members and tell them my Sister had cancer. Hearing myself say "my sister has breast cancer" seemed like a bad dream.

My sister and I fought like sisters growing up, lets be real we still have our moments but she has really become my best friend! I call her for everything and we are very much in the details of each other's lives. When I found out a few weeks ago that she had cancer my world changed. I wanted to take it from her and make her all better. But we all know that is not how it works.

Her son Rylan is doing really good and being very strong but is scared for her. Some of their favorite activities are hiking, going to the beach, and adventuring and we hope it doesn't take long until they are able to do those things again.

Ashley stopped working per doctors orders at the end of August and that was a blessing for her to be able to go to all the appointments that she needed to and do all the running around so treatment could start as soon as possible but as you can imagine it was not good on the bank account.

This week everything got very real as her port was placed and her first round of chemotherapy was completed. This fund is to supplement her income over the next 7 months while she is undergoing 16 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. The money raised will help to pay rent, car insurance, phone bill, utilities, gas, food, and other expenses so she can focus on beating this cancer and not stress about finances.

Attached is a link to a blog she just started describing her journey. Her hope is that her writing can give other people the courage to follow their gut when it comes to their health and increase their faith in God’s hand in all our lives. She will be updating her blog as she is able to. We want to thank all our family and friends who have already shown their support for her little family.
