Hi, My name is Sunil, myself and Amairani's friends, family and loved ones started fundraising to try and save Amairani's life from cancer. She was only 27 years old and had a heart of purity. Unfortunately on this past Wednesday (Nov. 17th) she peaceful passed away at home and has returned to heaven to be among the angels.
Amairani was one of the sweetest and most kindhearted people you would have ever met. She was always willing to help others the best she could. She had a very big heart.
Through no fault of her own she developed a very aggressive type of Sarcoma cancer a little over a year ago. Since being diagnosed her journey to be cancer free was very challenging and difficult. For awhile it look like she was going to beat the cancer. She started getting radiation therapy through the holidays (2020) and then in early March she had surgery to remove the tumor. She was healing well and seemed to be in high spirits, even returning to work part time, but within a short 4 months she started having a lot of pain. After going back to the doctor and getting CT scans done, the doctor informed us that the cancer came back and was near one of her major arteries near her pelvis/leg area. They wanted to do surgery again ,but had to complete some therapy to kill the cancer cells before the new tumor could be removed, so the doctors suggested chemotherapy.
Amairani agreed to the treatment and went through with the treatment in mid September. Unfortunately within a matter of 4 weeks after chemo, the cancer didn't die and rather got bigger and stronger. Just before the Halloween holiday she had to be admitted to the ER due to the extreme pain and complications. She was currently at Emory University Hospital in Midtown Atlanta.
Amairani's family is in diare need of financial help to continue to be able to finish paying medical bills and now funeral costs.
She was a fighter all the way until her last breath as she wanted to be there for her family so they wouldn't have any hardships. Even when she was in a lot of pain and moved to the ICU to receive dialysis to help her flush out the excess toxins and the swelling that were building up in her body due to the cancer becoming so aggressive, She kept fighting to get better.
The 2nd tumor grew to 3.5 cm in a matter of 4 months before chemo and then grew to 8+ inches and spread throughout her stomach after treatment and in 5 weeks. The tumor created even more problems which included preventing her from breathing normally and caused her to gasp at times.
We ask please that if you receive the link that you try and help in any way you can.
Wheather you can donate or not, which would be very greatly appreciated, please make sure to pass on the link to as many people as you can to allow others to possibly help. Please explain that this fundraiser started in hopes to save her life but is now to help her family deal with the loss of their daughter and for her younger brother, only 12 years old, to be able to grieve without the extra stress and burden of a financial avalanche over their heads.
Please pray for her family to be strong through this unthinkable time and that they continue to get support in the months and years to come, especially as the holidays are upon us this month.
Thank you and blessings to all that can help.
