Please help a queer couple avoid eviction

Hello everyone, I’m Manuel, and I’m from Venezuela. I’ve been living with my partner Alexander in an apartment in Caracas left by my father after he died almost 4 years ago, and we’ve established ourselves here in our respective work venues (Alexander works as a make-up artist and drag queen; and I work as a Tarot Reader). However right now our livelihoods and safety are under attack as we face being evicted from the apartment by my father’s families.

Earlier this month, my father’s girlfriend (with whom he had a daughter who is still a young child) and his stepson from his previous relationship have been pushing my partner and I to cede the apartment to them so they can rent it out, justifying themselves in that it’s to have money to take care of my sister as she gets older, and when told that we couldn’t just go, they then demanded us to start paying a monthly sum that is well beyond our current capacity. Neither option is currently possible for us.

Aside from this, their attitudes and comments have also been blatantly homophobic, with them deriding my partner’s career as a drag queen, demanding “respect” from us, even calling into question “how could they explain” to my sister “that her older brother lives with a man who wears dresses”, among other things. This situation also comes after a wave of recent similar homophobic attacks across the country and is clearly emboldened by that.

In light of their push, I requested them to give me a year at most (and hopefully much less) to sort out our situation and leave the apartment, but they categorically refused, demanding solely either we get out as soon as possible or that we start paying monthly to stay during that time.

Due to this, we are now here requesting any help possible, so we can sort out this situation as quickly as possible and get to resume our endeavors and lives.

The money requested would be used for the following prospects:

-Paying the monthly sum they request, so they stay off our backs for at least the next few months as we sort things out.

-Securing a new place where we can settle.

-Paying for the expenses of moving.
