*Born Fighter Needs Urgent Help*

At the age of 48 my father was diagnosed with stage 4 GIST/soft tissue sarcoma. It is a cancer that affects the gastrointestinal area as well as many vital organs neighboring. Unfortunately, in comparison to other forms of cancer, there is not a large amount of knowledge or treatment options for GIST. Many patients are restricted to clinical trials as chemotherapy has little effect on the tumors. Most cancer centers that offer these clinical trials are out of state and require additional costs for travel, transportation, and lodging continuously. I, along with my family, are doing all we can financially, but the bills keep piling up and many more will follow. He is self-employed and he does not have many options for financial support. Recently the cancer has progressed causing complications so he has only been able to work a fraction of the hours he did before causing even more financial issues. He is one of the few things that light up my life and I don't want to lose him to this horrible disease. He raised me as a single father and I want to be able to help him as he has me for so many years. I am asking from the deepest areas of my heart to help our family get him the treatment he needs. I want to help him beat this monster so my family and I can enjoy our lives with him. There are many more birthdays and holidays to celebrate and I want him to experience all of them with us.
