I am Petra Chisholm. I live in the United States of America in Hartford Connecticut.

I have created this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my friend Merriel Shakespeare who lives in Jamaica and cannot create the campaign outside of the US, which is why she asked me to create this GoFundMe to raise funds to help her family in this difficult time. Merriel and her family are homeless and devastated as a result of Hurricane Melissa. Ms. Shakespeare and her family's home was destroyed in the horrific storm and they urgently need your help to buy food and basic necessities, and to help rebuild so they can have a place to sleep.
