<div>Four to Shore are a group of leisure swimmers, brought together by chance. Kay Brennan, Lisa Keevans, Jarlath Sweeney and John Smalley, along with their boat skipper, Martin O'Halloran feel very honoured to take part in the Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay swim on 18th July 2026.

<div>The annual event is an epic swim across Galway Bay from Auginish in County Clare 13 Km to Blackrock Diving Tower, Salthill, Galway, to highlight the work of and raise funds for Cancer Care West.

<div>The Galway Bay swim has 30 teams of two to four swimmers and 60 solo swimmers who all raise funds for Cancer Care West. This is the 21st year of the swim which has raised over 1.8 million to support patients and families facing cancer in the West of Ireland.

<div>We have all been touched by and lost loved ones to cancer and are all determined to raise as much money for this cause. Please give as much as you can to speed the intrepid swimmers on their way across Galway Bay on July 18th.
