Please donate towards an 18 classroom new build

The Principals, Teaching Staff, Pupils and Alumni in Sierra Leone and the diaspora are celebrating the Methodis Boys' High School's 148th Anniversary this year. Funds are being raised for the erection of a building to provide 18 classrooms to enable the School to operate a one-shift system of pupil attendance instead of the two-shift system currently in operation. The foundation stone for the new building was laid on the School's Founders Day, the 6th of April, 2022. The Speaker of the Sierra Leone Parliament was In attendance, together with the Presiding Bishop, the Administrative Bishop, and representatives from the various diaspora branches. The Guest Speaker was the Rev. Dr. Johnathan Titus Williams, a past pupil and serving as the Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development in the Sierra Leone Government and the Distinguished Guest of honour was Dr. Chernor Abass Bundu, the Hon. The programme climaxed with the unveiling of the plaque of the 18 classroom project. The MBHS is twinned with the Heron Hall Academy, whose CEO, Mr Marino Charalambous, Staff and Pupils are raising funds to support this Appeal. Mr Arthus Barzey, the TES Headteacher of the year 2022, teaches in Heron Hall Academy and is the Social Secretary of the MBHS Alumni Association here in the United Kingdom. The Twinning Partnership Programme is working well. Funds raised earlier this year went towards improving the drainage system on the school grounds; the School is currently filling up a 40ft shipping container with furniture, teaching materials, and computer equipment to be shipped to the MBHS School in due course. Pupils in both Schools have exchanged letters and are making videoes of their school life to exchange. Long may the relationship continue
