Hi - this is Morag, Natt's friend - you may wll know her on Facebook as Alfie theWeimaraner. I'm reaching out to you today to ask for your help for Kaiser. I know that we all value immensely the contribution made by Natt to Lincs Dobermann Rescue and to DRUE, she works tirelessly raising funds for Dobies, despite her ongoing illness. Natt has volunteered for Lincs for almost 4 years now coming up with novel ideas to raise money for our dogs.

Recently due to her illness, Natt has had to give up working full time. Last week, her beloved Kaiser took very seriously ill. He has been in the Vets several times culminating in an emergency referral to a Specialist Vet. Unfortunately, Kaisers insurance is now exhausted and the Vets bills continue to rise. At the moment, they are topping £7,000 with more to come – dressing changes are working out at £300 per week as they need to be done by a Vet due to the significant state of his wounds. Kaiser developed blisters on his skin and the tissue started to necrotise, he has been on IV antibiotics and pain relief whilst in the Veterinary Hospital and was given a blood transfusion.

Vet’s still can't say if it's a haematoma, infection, blood clotting issue or severe cellulitis – they think he has an underlying, undiagnosed condition and has done for some time. A scan has identified lesions on his spleen, so these investigations continue along with monitoring of his known heart murmur.

I know that Natt wouldn’t ask for help, but I feel that it’s the right thing to do for all of us to help cover these bills if possible, Natt does so much for this wonderful breed and hopefully, we can give something back. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping towards Kaiser’s medical expenses and ensuring he gets the best care possible to survive this and once again enjoy his life with Pen Ren, Alfie and Rosie.
