Please bring Misti & Family Home

My dear friend Misti Patten has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Worse, it is aggressively invading her lungs and she may not live much longer unless it is stopped.. We need her home in Texas from California now, within 2 weeks due to insurance issues as she's facing over 2 months with no treatment there and we need it started ASAP!
I met Misti and her family about 7 years ago. She was a single mother with 4 children (Baylee, Mikayla, Jonathan and Jacob) struggling to raise them. Tragedy struck them in December 2012 when the childrens' father died, breaking their hearts. It was a battle for all of them to cope, and inevitably depressing. It broke my heart to see Misti hurt over the pain she couldn't bear for her children. But as life has been known to do, happiness found them in the form of her now husband Travis. Less than 2 years later the younger 3, with Misti and Travis, (the oldest daughter remained in TX with Grandma) moved from Texas to California for a new start. What a great move it was! The children flourished, and Travis and Misti were married, and I saw smiles on their faces I had never before witnessed. They found joy, and Travis adopted the boys to complete the now happy family.
But once again, tragedy has struck by filling Misti with cancer and putting a claim on her life. California living is undoubtedly expensive, and Misti needs to move home to fight this battle. Not only has she been unable to work, which is taking a toll on the family, but her mother and oldest daughter, and the newest addition, her 2 year old grandson, are in Dallas, and it's time to be together. I desperately want Misti home where we can ALL take care of her, and surround her however many last days with love, as doctors have sadly diagnosed her with 2 masses in her thyroid which have already metastasized to her lungs. Classically known as stage 4 but no way to find out till April if she can't get home...in which time it could be too late.
I have set her a goal of at LEAST $2,000 to bring her family home NOW. This amount is for moving expenses, finding and renting a place to live, and to help recover expenses when she's too sick to work, but at this point every bit is more than they have. Gas cards, grocery cards, SHARES...all are important. PLEASE HELP if you can. Your donation today may not change the world, but it would change her and her family's world.
