My brother Ronnie and his sweet wife Dartanya have been together for 20 years and were expecting their first child June 14, 2018. On March 3, 2018 Dartanya went into premature labor and their little miracle man, Ledger Rayne, entered the world at just 25 weeks gestation. Ledger has spent everyday since in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Ledger is making progress and overcoming milestones each day and for that we are eternally grateful. However, as you could imagine this has been a very emotionally and financially trying time for Ronnie and Dartanya.
The medical bills have started to roll in and doctors have already advised them Ledger will need to stay in NICU care at least until his original projected due date of June. By this time the medical expenses will be exhorbitant, and that is why I started this campaign. Besides the enormous medical bills that are stacking up, Dartanya has been forced to quit her job and travels 30 minutes each day to the hospital to spend time with and care for her precious son. The loss of the additional income on top of the growing expenses has no doubt caused a lot of additional stress for them. They are under enough stress with worrying about the fragile health of their son.
Together we can make a difference and help alleviate some of the hardships they are facing so they can bring their bundle of joy home when he is ready and enjoy being new parents without all of the stress and heartache of a financial hardship brought on by an unforseeable medical emergency.
Anyone that knows these two knows they both wear their hearts on their sleeve and are the first in line to lend a helping hand to those in need. This is our chance to help them in their time of need.
