Playing to Learn was started in 2014 as a large family childcare. We moved to our current location in 2015. Our goal was and is to support the children and families in Solano county. We provide high quality family like care. We have helped several families with tuition during their personal struggles over the years and we truly try to make this a home away from home for our students.
COVID 19 took our "playground improvement" savings! We had been saving up to give our yard a much needed upgrade this summer (2021). When Covid hit we lost several clients, some staff, and our janitorial expenses sky rocketed. As a team we were able to remain open during the pandemic to support all of our families many of which are frontline workers. Unfortunately with our income reduced and expenses going up we were forced to use the savings to keep our doors open.
We are now reaching out to our current, past, and future, families asking you, and your friends and families to help us raise the money to provide our children with the best possible outdoor area. We want a safe, exciting, fun space to support their gross motor, social, and cognitive development. In order to do this we need to raise at least $30,000.
We will need to level the yard, repair some of the fencing, purchase equipment, as well as ground cover. All of this will not be cheap (our kids deserve the best!).
