<div>We are Ashgate Croft School and we are a special needs school in Chesterfield, with students attending from all over the Derbyshire area. The majority of our students have severe learning difficulties and would have difficulty coping in a mainstream school. Some of our pupils have profound and multiple learning difficulties, with an increasing number on the autism spectrum.

<div>We are fundraising for a new playground for our students - our current playground has not been refurbished for many years, with limited accessible equipment for our students to use. We want to be able to offer our students a wide range of outdoor experiences in a safe environment, including the option to use some play equipment that they may not be able to easily access elsewhere (e.g wheelchair accessible swings.)

<div>As most people are aware, school budgets are very tight at the moment and this is a very big job to undertake - we have been, and continue to fundraise in school but as the cost of this work will be very high we are now appealing to anyone who may be in a position to help support with this - any donation, large or small would be very gratefully received.
