We want to build a playground, and your donation is going to help!

Remember the days when you would get that phone call from your best friends asking if you were free to go to the park? You would meet up, maybe take a walk to 7-Eleven to grab a slurpee, or to the convenience store to grab some .25 cent candy and a $1 jumbo freezie? Then you’d go to the park and play capture the flag, play ball, or hang upside down on the monkey-bars until your parents made you go inside for dinner? Yeah, those were the days...

You probably didn’t realize it at the time, but those days at the playground were primitive in developing your social skills. You learnt how to network, hold conversations, and gain skills of patience while waiting for your turn on the swing. The days of hanging out with your friends had you running around and to keep you physically fit. Keeping your body moving and your social life booming helped nurture your mental health to reduce feelings of loneliness.  And aside from all these wonderful things, those days at the playground left you with lots and lots of memories that still make you smile to this day

Play4All - Merton Project is a grassroots project initiated by residents of Hospital Workers’ Housing Co-operative (HWHC) whose goal is to give children of today those same memories that you cherish. You can have a direct hand in this mission. You can help give children and youth of today the chance to make some of those same memories you made during your childhood.

At this point, you might be wondering, “how can I help children make such fond memories?”, or “wait, who is Hospital Workers’ Housing Co-operative ”? Well, HWHC is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1992. At the time, HWHC was chariotted by a number of frontline healthcare workers in Toronto with the aim of providing an affordable housing option to frontline healthcare workers and their families. HWHC continues to exist today and is currently on a mission to make play accessible for youth, children, and adults who live in this Housing Co-operative through an initiative called Play4All - Merton Project. Play4All – Merton Project is an initiative headed by members of the HWHC community. The project is raising funds to build a playground where children, youth, and families of this community can keep physically fit, mentally healthy, and build life-long memories

You can help in making Play4All - Merton Project come to fruition. You can help the children of this community make lifelong friends and forge timeless memories.

Your $20 donation will help build a playground and shared community space for nearly 200 families!

Please donate today.
Your donation - no matter how big or little - will go a long way in helping us to reach our goal! The children, youth, and families of our community THANK YOU!
