Hi my name is Louise Insley and I am the Assistant Club Secretary at the Isle of Wight Community Club.

The Isle of Wight Community Club is a family-friendly social and community hub offering some of the best facilities on the Island. The club is sustained by a dedicated team of volunteers who support its operations throughout the year. Our venue includes a well-equipped function room used for community events, celebrations, weddings, and private hire.

We provide a welcoming space for a wide range of weekly social activities and are home to multiple sports clubs, including indoor and outdoor bowls, cricket, football, pétanque, darts, and others. Our high-quality playing fields enable us to host matches for local and visiting teams from both the Island and the mainland.

The club also operates a 5-star food-hygiene-rated catering facility, open to the community on Wednesdays (11:30–14:30), Fridays (18:00–21:00), Saturdays (11:00–19:00), and Sundays (10:00–14:00).

Overall, the Isle of Wight Community Club serves as an accessible, multi-purpose space that brings people together, supports local sports, and provides valuable social, recreational, and community services.

We’re fundraising to create something truly special — an Inclusive Community Play Park right here in Cowes.

This will be a welcoming, accessible space where children of all abilities can play, grow, and make memories together.

A fully accessible playpark at the Isle of Wight Community Club, designed to ensure that all children, regardless of ability, have a safe and engaging space to play. The playpark will feature inclusive equipment suitable for children with physical, sensory, and developmental needs, promoting social interaction, physical activity, and imaginative play.

This project will provide a welcoming environment where children from across the community can play together, fostering inclusion, friendship, and confidence. By creating a space that is accessible to everyone, we aim to remove barriers to play, support the development of all children, and enhance the wellbeing of families in our local community.

The playpark will complement our existing facilities and community programs, further establishing the club as a hub for social engagement, health, and inclusion for people of all ages.
