Planting Community Fruit Trees in Uganda
The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation is an international charity dedicated to planting nut, fruit and medicinal trees for communities to use as a sustainable food source. In this way they hope to alleviate world hunger and strengthen the communities they serve.
A handful of communities in Uganda will be receiving trees at the end of March and beginning of April and FTPF is looking for volunteers to go assist with the project. I am raising money for the program costs as well as the cost of a plane ticket. I am very interesting in sustainable food systems and am looking forward to seeing this concept play out and to participate in it! I am also working towards achieving my permaculture design certification and this could be a wonderful chance to gain hands on experience. If you would like to help me achieve my goal, please donate what you can! Thank you!
