Plae Bistro's Head Chef

Hello Everyone,

My name is Jill Bassett & I am the owner at Plae Bistro here in Green Bay, WI. I am asking (begging) for your help. I have never asked for help before & quite honestly feel a little uncomfortable. However, I am putting my feelings aside and going for it.
My Head Chef here at Plae is Lorie Zilles. Lorie has been with me at Plae for almost 8yrs. Her husband, James was diagnosed this morning with cancer. James is 30yrs old. After a few months of what he just thought was a back injury has turned into a massive tumor resting against his spine. James was admitted to Aurora Hospital yesterday afternoon and will be there for quite sometime. Both James & Lorie have 2 little boys Zander 8 & Zolan 7. James works for Restaurant Warehouse here in GB.  He does not have disabiltiy insurance, FML or any other means of income while he is fighting this battle. Lorie has now taken a leave of absence from Plae to be by her husbands side. We (Lorie's Plae family) are doing everything we can to help out her family.  In the 8 yrs that Lorie has worked for me she has never called in sick, works harder than anyone I have ever met, consistently schedules herself to work crazy amounts of hours EVEN THOUGH I AM ALWAYS STERNLY TELLING HER TO CUT BACK HER HOURS, and has always put Plae & her family at the top of her list.  Lorie is not from GB & does not have a huge network of friends. She has her family & a handful of very close friends. With that said, I am asking all of you to please consider helping my Chef/friend so that she can be at the hospital with her husband & be there for their 2 boys who are very concerned & confused as to why their daddy is so sick. Any amount will help. Unfortunteley when tragedy strikes the mortgage, student loans, car loans, insurance, etc all still needs to be paid.
