On Saturday, August 5, Josh Buchanan suffered a stroke. Due to blood clots in his heart and brain, further complications caused his condition to deteriorate to very critical. Too weak to fly, on Sunday, August 6, Josh was transported by EMS on a very risky trip to MUSC. Josh made it to Charleston where the medical team started evaluating and working on him right away. Please continue to pray for Josh and the medical team at MUSC.
At the same time, his wife, Valerie, is holding her family together during this scary ordeal. They have two young sons. Both Valerie and Josh are teachers, so on top of the added stress of school starting without them, they will have financial hardships until they can return to their employment. We also hope to relieve some of the stress on their families who will care for their children.
