<div>No family ever expects to face something like this, but Arthur and his family are now navigating a journey no one should have to endure.

<div>Arthur is my nephew; an energetic, funny, football-mad 10-year-old whose life changed overnight in February 2025 when he was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma (T-LBL). Watching him go through this, and seeing the impact it has had on those closest to him, has been incredibly difficult.

<div>In the weeks leading up to his diagnosis, Arthur had been unwell throughout January. There were several visits to the GP, where it was thought to be something viral, asthma-related, or possibly anxiety. Just two days later, his condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was admitted to paediatric intensive care.
</div>

</div>
<div>Arthur had a significant build-up of fluid around his lungs, causing them to collapse, and his heart was under serious strain due to a mass on his thymus. At that stage, a general anaesthetic was too risky, so doctors had to carefully stabilise him by slowly draining the fluid before he could begin chemotherapy.

<div>Thankfully, Arthur has responded incredibly well to treatment so far, and the mass in his chest has now gone. This has been a huge relief, but his journey is far from over, with treatment expected to continue until 2028.
</div>

<div>Since his diagnosis, life for Arthur and his family has changed completely. Days are now shaped around hospital visits, treatment schedules, and ensuring he is safe, comfortable, and supported at every step.
</div>

</div>
<div>Both of his parents have been fully focused on caring for him and keeping family life as steady as possible through an incredibly challenging time. His mum has taken on the role of Arthur’s full-time carer, meaning she has had to step away from work, while his dad continues to support the family alongside being there for Arthur every step of the way.
</div>
<div>What is less visible from the outside is how much this impacts everyday life; emotionally, physically, and practically.
</div>

<div>This page has been created not out of expectation, but simply to provide an option for those who have asked how they can support Arthur and his family during this time.

<div>Any support received will go towards easing some of the day-to-day pressures that come with long-term treatment, allowing the family to focus fully on what matters most; helping Arthur through his recovery.

<div>Funds raised will also help the family explore a more holistic approach alongside Arthur’s chemotherapy, including support such as specialist nutrition and therapies like Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). These types of supportive treatments are not typically available through the NHS but may help with recovery, wellbeing, and managing the side effects of intensive treatment. Accessing them privately can be costly, and fundraising will help make these options more accessible to Arthur throughout his journey.

<div>Arthur  loves his football. He is a keen player himself and plays grassroots football for Soham Town Rangers U11s — something he absolutely loves and hopes to return to as soon as he is able.

<div>Arthur is a huge Leicester City fan and loves his football. In August 2025, he had the incredible experience of being a matchday mascot during a friendly against Fiorentina, a moment that brought real joy during an incredibly challenging period.
</div>

<div>He continues to show remarkable strength and resilience, but no child should have to face something like this alone.
</div>
