Wednesday evening I tripped on a step and broke my ankle and my fibula. My leg is currently in a splint as I wait to schedule a surgery where they will have to put pins in my ankle and cast my leg. The recovery time and physical therapy afterwards is going to be significant.
Meaning the work I have been doing, cleaning motel rooms and private cleans, is something I am unable to do for the time being. I am in excruciating pain and am on strict orders from the doctor to do “aggressive elevation” and bed rest. No pressure whatsoever.
I am reaching out to my friends and family to help me get through this difficult time. I am looking for a desk job or something that doesn’t require movement but in the mean time I need help financially. My first doctors appointment on Monday to schedule my actual surgery and do a skin test to make sure the broken bone hasn’t caused additional damage requires a $300 payment down. I have already had to get x-rays twice, crutches, and was administered pain meds at the hospital, so I am close to a thousand dollars in bills right now and I haven’t even had my surgery yet.
On top of the medical bills to come, without work I don’t have a way to live. I have rent and other normal bills to stay on top of. My stress level is through the roof as I try and figure out how I am going to make it.
I hate doing this, I feel gross and pitiful but without insurance I am stuck. I am applying for Medicaid, disability, unemployment, and even food stamps to help me get survive but those things could take months to get approved. My savings will only scratch the surface of what I need.

I am not comfortable asking for money but until I have a solid financial solution I am about to lose my home and everything I love. Thank you everyone for your concern and love.
