I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of a dear friend who is going through an extremely difficult time. For safety and privacy reasons, she has asked to remain anonymous, but I can tell you this: she is one of the strongest, most hardworking mothers I know, and she would never be asking for help unless it was absolutely her last resort.

Recently, her father, her main source of support- was unexpectedly deported. Overnight, she lost both the stability he provided and the help she relied on to care for herself and her baby. Since then, she’s been doing everything possible to stay afloat: working, applying for a second job, sacrificing personal belongings, and applying for loans… Despite her efforts, the bills are stacking up and rent is due again. She’s in a position no one should face alone. She is doing everything she can, but right now she needs a community behind her.

This fundraiser will go directly toward:

-Keeping a roof over her and her baby’s heads (rent + utilities)

-Covering urgent bills left behind after her father’s deportation

-Providing a bit of breathing room while she secures additional work
