Please Help Me Say Goodbye to My Son

My name is Farrah Morlang. I currently reside in Tempe, AZ. On August 25th 2020, while visiting Lake Tahoe with friends, my son Ian Morlang drowned. It took them 2 days to find his body at which time he was of course pronounced dead. He gave up his lifejacket to save someone elses life. I have been trying my hardest to save money so i can get to gilroy ca and say goodbye. Im devastated and broken. Some days its hard to just remember to breathe. My oldest daughter whom was very close to ian is not taking this too well and she needs me. Since COVID I am barely working part time and make enough to just survive. I dont like asking for help i have tried to save. enough money to get there at least get a hotel room for a couple days and grieve for my son. I am the culmination of all my decisions good and bad and i own every mistake and bad choice when i could have chose otherwise. Yes i am a recovering addict and never want to go back there. Im honest, caring and have helped any and everyone who has ever needed me no matter what. I believe in God and i know that my prayers are being heard. So please...i know times are hard for everyone i just want to say goodbye to my son. Ian was one of those people you couldnt help but be drawn to. Yes he could be an asshole sometimes but he had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. He leaves behind his 3 yr old son Braxton who his memory lives on in. Ians smile was infectious and contagious since the day he was born. He meant alot to so many people and if you ever met him you could never forget him.
