PJ's Medical Expenses for Cancer

In October of 2017, PJ started experiencing pain in her lower left side. After numerous doctor's appointments and not making any headway to relieve pain or find a cause, her pain spread. On February 1, 2018 PJ's worst nightmare was confirmed: cancer. The doctor shared the news that it is Adenocarcinoma, which is the most aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. A port will be put in on February 7, 2018 and chemotherapy will begin on February 13th. The tumors are located in her pancreas, liver, and lymph nodes around her pancreas. If the tumors respond to chemo, PJ will undergo surgery to remove as much of the masses as possible.
At the request of friends and family who wish to show their support, PJ has agreed to have this fundraiser. As you may know, she is self-employed. This means she does not have paid time off, vacation time, or sick time. The days she will miss from work for treatments and recovery will be less income in her pocket to cover the cost of daily living expenses.
The money raised will go toward PJ's very high insurance deductible, which is $10,000. The additional amount will help cover cost of living, any other treatment needed, and the amount that GoFund Me takes out. Your donation will help ease the financial burden so PJ can focus on what matters most--treatment, recovery, and healing. The money raised will be a tremendous help for PJ, in her time of need.
