Pizzas for Lucid

Hello my name is Josh aka Lucid to my friends online. I'm a fulltime care giver for my disabled Mom and Dad who are both scooter bound. While this career is very rewarding emotionally since I love my parents, it does leave something to be desired Financially. And unfortunately no money, means NO PIZZA!!  Now though thanks to amazing platforms like this, I can hit up friends, strangers and maybe even celebrities to donate to my cause of hot amazing pizza!

A little about my parents: 

Dad my father was diagnosed with Polo just 1 year before the vaccine was released. Due to this terrible disease he lost the use of his right leg, despite this though he worked hard his entire life and provided for his family. Overcoming his disability and with the assistance of a leg brace kicking the world squarely in the butt. He is not retired and still taking care of his family and I'm incredibly honored to be able to provide him with the limited assistance he need to me his life more enjoyable. 

Mom, my mother spent her entire life working hard as a waitress to help provide for me and my brother. After a lifetime in that industry and suffering from what we now know was a condition known as "Lupus" she was finally diagnosed in 2016 and able to start receiving treatments. Unfortunately while her lupus is under control 2019 and 2020 hasn't been so kind to her. While recovering from a hip replacement surgery in 2019 she developed a life threatening infection. Even with strong IV antibiotics this infect required the surgeon to remove he hip replacement to try and clean and disinfect the surgery site, this happened a total of 12 times! Eventually despite the best efforts of her doctors and surgeons she was forced to have a full hip recession (removed the hip joint). Now unable to bare weight on her left legs she also finds herself scooter bound. 

I'm sorry to say things didn't improve for my Mom in 2020. After all those years of waitressing to help support her family she was left with sever shoulder pain.  After talking to the family she went in for what was supposed to be a routine shoulder replacement, 3 days later though we received a call from the hospital that she was unable to communicate with staff or doctors. For reasons we are not 100% she had entered a state of Delirium or Psychosis, she would remain in this state for 3 days before emerging with sever memory loss, reduced reasoning capabilities, trouble concentrating, short and long term memory problems, and many more issues. 

My Mom one of the strongest people I know now requires almost 24 hour care. While she has improved tremendously since being released 13 days after what was supposed to be a 3 days procedure we are still discovering the extent of the damage that was done to her. 

So ya, that's me and my Mom and Dad, thanks for reading and you know maybe giving me the gift of hot mouthwatering pizza! (or a new computer, like if stuff get's crazy LOL)
