Pizza for Ukraine

Hi! It’s Corey! (Instagram, Facebook) I’m a humanitarian and pizzaiolo from Portland, Oregon now living in Lviv, Ukraine to help the effort in making the war here safer, shorter, and more bearable for Ukrainians. The mission of my organization Pizza for Ukraine is to make pizza, not war. By cooking, teaching, and delivering Neapolitan pizza to Ukrainians in need, I can provide a rich cultural experience so that displaced Ukrainians can expand their world beyond their shelters' walls. Whether they are displaced, orphaned, wounded, or in active duty, nourishment, comfort, and solidarity is provided one pizza at a time.

Having previously worked for 2 months with World Central Kitchen on the Ukrainian border in Poland feeding Ukrainian refugees with hundreds of thousands of meals, I’ve now started my own organization. The idea behind Pizza for Ukraine is to host cultural aid events that encompass food, music, and art to remind Ukrainians that they are not alone. It is the least we can do for a country that is fighting on the frontlines of democracy.

Your donations help keep Pizza for Ukraine's fight alive by making it more mobile and diversified. Making it more mobile means affording to ship my equipment to various cities in Ukraine. And making it more diversified means I can host masterclasses for displaced and orphaned Ukrainian youth, as well as deliver more than just pizza, but also winter clothes, food kits, medical supplies, and tactical gear.

Russia’s terrorist activities are the only things keeping this war in the news cycle, but behind the international headlines is a war that is still raging with millions living under constant threat with no end in sight.
