Pizza for Orlando Healthcare Workers

Hi Orlando Neighbors! My name is Rob and I have the pleasure of running a kickboxing gym in Downtown Orlando. - CKO Kickboxing Thornton Park.  A little background on myself, I was in New York City and working on Wall St. during the 9/11 tragedy. Something that has always resonated with me was the way America came together after that tragedy.  The first responders coming from all over the country to help, the average Joe with the Texas BBQ truck driving all the way to NYC just to feed the first responders - the amount of love and support was incredible.  Politics were not a factor.  We were all Americans.  What also stuck with me is how I wanted to do more.  It has bothered me for 19 yrs how I was unable to make a difference after that horrific day.  Fast forward to now and the current COVID-19 pandemic - we are at war again.  This time the enemy is invisible and a killer. Healthcare workers are the new soldiers on the front lines.  Myself and members of CKO Thornton Park want to show them that we care about them.  I started raising money from my gym members recently to bring pizza to these brave soldiers.  So far I've raised approximately $1500.  I've delivered around 120 or so gourmet pies thanks in large part to my members and to the amazing people at Anthony's Coal fired pizza in Dr. Phillips, who have partnered with me on this venture.  A special shoutout to Brittany at Anthony's who has been my point person of contact - and she is an angel! With their help I've gone to multiple hospitals and facilities around the Orlando community. My members and friends have stepped up and contributed and we would now like to reach the larger community! We understand the financial difficulties so many are currently facing, however any little bit makes a big difference.
