Piper is a sweet 10 year old little girl in the 5th grade. She is on the YMCA swim team, loves reading, coloring, listening to music, playing with her dog, and hanging out with seven year old sister Allison.
Piper was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer with lymph node involvement. Piper, Dad (Rob), and Mom (Susan) will be heading to Boston Children's Hospital for her consult and surgery in October. This is a very rare cancer to find in children and will require her and her family to travel to Boston for surgery and treatment. After the surgery she will be injected with radioactive iodine to determine if there are any other cancer cells in her body.
