Last week Piper was limping so we made a trip to the vet. At the vet they did X-rays and bloodwork....we were surprised when we got the call to get her back to the vet ASAP that she is severely anemic and they want to check a few additional labs. This was a surprise as we were taking her in for her limping. So they sent us to a specialist because her numbers were alarmingly low, and we were told that means something further is going on. 
Fast forward a couple of days and she was getting her belly shaved and put through some additional tests.
An Ultrasound discovered a 3 cm mass in her small intestine that has been pinpointed as her source of blood loss, hence the anemia. The physician looked at us and said she needs surgery to have the mass removedNand it needs to be done ASAP to avoid perforation or 
fatal blood loss.
I never ever thought I would have to ask for help, and frankly am quite embarassed. I have always been the one donating money , food, supplies, my time to rescues....fostering babies, and running transport to safe havens. And now I am not able to help my sweet girl, which is my biggest fear in life. 
I recently exhausted my accounts and funds by treating my chocolate lab Murphy for Hemangiosarcoma. We just cannot catch a break.

So here I am, hoping that the generosity of strangers can help me shoulder the costs of saving her life.

Assuming (hoping) no complications, This is going to cost 4500-$5200. Every little bit helps and be eternally appreciated.
