Pinoys on Parliament: National Youth Leadership Conference is the first event to bring together young Filipino-Canadians with a focus on representation in politics, government, and other fields where the Filipino community is greatly underrepresented. Despite the Filipino community being the fastest growing in Canada, Filipinos are still grossly under-represented in many fields and professions which is where the idea for Pinoys on Parliament arose from.
Last year we launched our first conference with 100 delegates. This year in February 2020, we are hoping to increase the number of attendees. By starting discussions and providing a space for fellow youth to network and learn new skills, we hope that this conference will encourage and inspire young Filipino-Canadians to take on leadership roles in their communities as well as their fields of interest.
We are humbly accepting donations in order to enhance the experience of our participants and help ensure that the conference remains accessible to all.
