NYE Fire Relief - Piney Compound
On New Year's Eve, the Broadhead family woke up to a large explosion outside of their bedroom window to see their barn full of bunnies, kayaks, tractor, firewood for the winter, and many other valuables up in flames. While many of the items are replaceable, others were given as sentimental gifts over Christmas to be used for a building project. Their home, along with 2 vehicles, are damaged from the fire as well. After meeting with the insurance adjusters, Cindy and Lou learned they will be out thousands of dollars if they want to replace their belongings, fix their vehicles, repair their home, and rebuild their barn.
Everyone who knows the Broadheads knows that they are the most giving humans on the planet. If you've ever had a beer on Lou, a delicious smoked meat meal cooked by him and Cindy with nothing expected in return, spent a night in the treehouse or in one of their hammocks/bedrooms, or have benefited from one of the other selfless numerous tasks they have graciously shared, please consider helping these lovely people recover from this traumatic experience.

My name is Leah Sherry, I'm the daughter of Cindy and Lou Broadhead - who were the victims of the fire. I live in Nashville, TN, and have set up my mom as a beneficiary on this account so she can directly receive the funds. They will be used to go toward rebuilding the barn, replacing the parts of their house and vehicles that were damaged, and everything that was in the barn. After the adjusters assessed the damage, and after paying 3 deductibles, my parents will still be out several thousand dollars. This money raised during this campaign will help offset those costs so the family can focus on picking up the pieces and moving on without worrying about the financial burden that this horrific event has caused.
