In memory of Dave "Gilly" Gilmour

On August 27th a very brave man passed away. He fought until the end, he never surrendered, but sadly he lost the fight.
Dave was a loving husband, devoted father, and dear friend to so many.
He was always looking forward to the moments in life that allowed him to spend quality time with those he loved and bring joy to their lives, especially his wife and kids. Ball games, visits to the trailer, fishing, putting a steak on the grill, or just chilling and chewing the fat; Dave loved these things, but he loved them way more when he saw his friends and family enjoying them too.
Dave was very passionate about baseball, fishing, mental health, and most of all his family. Dave had his own life challenges, but through it he was very active in raising awareness for autism, bullying, and mental health stigma. These are issues that affected his own family and he went to great lengths to be social about the causes he was behind. He did so through the Fear the Fighter clothing brand, participating charity events, and for many years by fostering many children who had varying challenges of their own. Whenever able he would always step to the plate for those who could not do so themselves.
It is because of his love and great passion, that in his place he has left a pain in our hearts that will be felt for eternity, and sadly a void in his family that cannot be filled.
While we cannot replace the void that Dave will leave in his family we can try to make it a just bit easier for his wife Laurie, and his children, to get through their future without him.
Our dear Gilly cannot, so on his behalf please join me and step up to the plate for his family.
